Since its chartering, Eta Mu Sigma has remained committed to advancing the mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. through national programs, community partnerships, youth initiatives, educational outreach, health awareness, and charitable service.

 

Throughout the years, chapter members have supported and implemented numerous initiatives, including Operation BigBookBag, the Annual Youth Symposium, seat belt and safety awareness initiatives, teen pregnancy prevention programs, community and family health fairs, scholarship fundraising, support for women and families in need, and partnerships with local community-based organizations.

Eta Mu Sigma has also proudly participated in community traditions and service efforts throughout the St. Louis area, including scholarship initiatives, health and wellness events, youth development programs, charitable walks, commemorative celebrations, and other programs designed to strengthen the communities we serve.

Today, Eta Mu Sigma continues to build upon the foundation established by our seventeen charter members. Their vision has grown into more than three decades of sisterhood, leadership, and meaningful community service.

As we honor our history and look toward the future, Eta Mu Sigma remains steadfast in carrying forward the principles and purpose of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.—continuing our commitment to “Greater Service, Greater Progress.”
